Early Spring Gardening

Celebrate the coming of spring by working in the soil, digging, planting, and more in the Children’s Garden.  Learn about green practices and composting firsthand.  For children, ages 6-10, who enjoy nature and like to get dirty!

Teen Nights - DJ Workshop

Drop by for a few hours to meet friends and make new ones.  Play table tennis , foosball, life-size chess, and more!  Also introducing special activities, such as trivia, karaoke and Community Center night.  Great place to hang and relax!  Check www.bpcparks1.org for latest information.

With the help of a professional artist, create your own silk screen T-shirts using various art materials to showcase your voice and style. Design your image and then return the next week and print it on a T-shirt or other item to take home and broadcast it to the world! Perhaps you will find that you have a future in the fashion world.

Guests are encouraged to bring clothing to print on.  A limited amount of T-shirts will be available.

Games and snacks will also be available.

Winter Talks: Georgia O’Keeffe’s New York Years

Many are familiar with O’Keeffe and her intimate paintings of flowers, but do you know about her New York years?  She became a major exhibiting artist, mingled with great artists of the age, and began her relationship with photographer Alfred Stieglitz.  Join artist/educator Marla Lipkin and revisit these magical years of the young artist’s life in Gotham!

Holiday Lights!

Join us for a cozy evening in South Cove with caroling, warm beverages, cookies, and the Battery Park City community!  If you would like to donate a gift to Stockings with Care, please bring a new, unwrapped gift to the event.  You may also drop off gift donations through Friday, December 16th at 75 Battery Place.

Recycle your Tree - December 26th - January 27, 2017

Please deposit your tree without decorations on the curb.  Park staff will pick trees until January 27th.  Trees will be chipped and used for mulch in the parks of Battery Park City.  We appreciate your assistance!
